Main Description
The Operational Readiness Assessment would need to answer the question: Do all the resources have all the facilities and
access needed to deliver the services?
Facilities and access can be multi-layered monsters to defeat. Without the right facilities and without the right level of
access in time resources cannot deliver the services. If the facilities and access are not ready and tested a few weeks
before the planned start of the Finalization phase we have a serious showstopper for Service Commencement. By then it is
time to find a way around. In some cases a temporary ‘security exception’ might help to continue as planned although the
requirements are not yet completely met.
In the case of a staff transfer due to a local legal obligation, facilities and access can easily look to be alright (they
are doing their job now, isn’t it?). This can however not be taken for granted. In some organizations the user names for
login get automatically blocked on the day the resources formally leave the company. The to-be-transferred staff should
have tested whether they can still do their job using the Capgemini employee credentials and facilities.
The artifact Operational Readiness Assessment Log For Facilities And Access is created and kept up-to-date to show
(potential) show stoppers including the appropriate mitigation actions. |
